Subject: Accuracy of little gps?

Chebanse, IL.....

How accurate should one consider these little gps units that we attach to acre counters etc? I'm talking about the ones that are small (1-2" diameter) & self-contained. We have one on an ATV hooked to a MT acre counter readout. So, if it counts off 5000', how accurate should one consider that? 1%? 0.1%? 10.0%? There isn't any calibration to be done to gps powered units that I see, is there?

Thanks
