Subject: Guidance accuracy

SE Nebraska, Near Misery and Cans Ass!
With all the talk about accuracy of the various autosteer systems I have found the biggest problem with guess rows to be implement drift. Unless you have a perfectly level field and perfectly even soil conditions the implement is not likely to be right behind the tractor. I have found a 16 row JD planter is frequently 8-10 inches to the right or left of the tractor and a 40 foot field cultivator or NH 3 toolbar is commonly 18 inches off. usually swung to the side with the grain cart tracks. Add a little slope and 2-3 feet is not uncommon. I tried putting the antenna on the implement and the tractor got so far offline before the guidance knew it that steering was impossible. Really almost need two antennas. Any other ideas?
