Maybe I don't understand your visualization, but I'd think that when row units bounce, they'd actually be travelling yet further away from the switch, not towards it. You'd have to have the planter frame bounce thereby pulling the parallel arms upwards.

Anyway, bounce wasn't one of our problems. They work OK on our 1790.
