Central SD
Not familiar with the Ontrac, and don't know if it is an issue or not. But the maximum communication speed with SF2(Greenstar) is 5hz. If the Ontrac performs better at 10hz or greater, you may want to consider other dual bands. I tried using SF2 to run a Raven Smartrax on a 4720 sprayer. The Smartrax controller likes at least 10hz and didn't perform very good with the JD receiver @ 5hz.

Do you have a JD display, or access to one, to program the receiver to work with the Ontrac? Do you have other uses for a JD receiver - display? SF2 is $800 per year. Omnistar XP is $800 per year. Omnistar HP is $1500 per year. Have been using SF2 for 3yrs. on our planting tractor, and am very happy with it. I would see if I could try some systems out before I bought. JD dealers should have demo units and Omnistar offers 3-day trials.

I have a Raven 410, Omnistar capable receiver for sale. I would be willing to let you try it out. If interested e-mail my profile.
