Keep hearing a rummor that you get a ticket if you drive your pickup with a reciever hitch in place and not pulling a trailer. They say you must remove it everytime you disconnect the trailer. Anyone know for sure and who was the idiot that passed this law. How it a reciever hitch more unsafe than any other ball hitch thats permanent
