Thanks Ted!  I've already removed the battery     I never gave it a thought that the socket would not match the battery.  Do you have notes on placement in the socket?  It looks like the socket is 28 pin/the battery 24 pin.  I now have more to talk with Raven about.  It may be possible to study the circuitry and the specs link and figure it out.
