Yes, the allow external GPS option is under the advanced troubleshooting menu - however it's there for a reason. At this stage, there are issues with using external GPS input to EZ-Guide 500 so if you do use it you might not get the results that you expect. Also it's not a currently supported feature - which means you probably won't be able to get much help from your dealer if you are using external GPS & it's not working right.
