Subject: How to kill standing trees (mulberry)

Northeast Nebraska
Just bought an acreage. The grove is getting overtaken by mulberry trees. I do not have time to cut them down and remove them right now, not to mention they would re-grow. Whats the easiest way to kill them and cut them down later?

I realize the risk of dead standing trees, this is on my own property, where only I will be around them.

I've searched the net, found various ideas. Removing bark, drilling a hole and filling with salt, drilling a hole and filling with 32%, drill and fill with round-up, putting salt around base, etc.

Alot of these trees are less than 6" diameter.
