| Loren is right. By license, no third-party vendor is allowed to make or edit guidance lines. And, by an oversight in EIC, writing setup info to a card from third-party software will cause you to loose guidance lines that you may have created in the field. This is a known issue. We have implemented a work around for this, but are waiting for Deere to tell us if they think it violates the license. Their concerns on creating/editing guidance lines is that a third-party vendor could screw them up, and guide a tractor into a ditch or obstruction, causing bodily injury or death, and they would be the deep pockets. I cannot argue with that concern. But they need to let us archive the ones you create in the field, and export them to other cards, etc. The other thing we don't support, that Apex does, is sending background imagery to the GS2. On our desktop, we have native support for the USDA SID imagery, out of the box. And Deere has given us sample code on how to transform that imagery to publish it as a GS2 background. It's been a low priority for us. We'll be adding the capability sometime this spring, after all the important stuff is completely nailed down. |
