Woodbury county | My seed corn/soybean dealer stopped yesterday to tell me he was going to deliver my seed corn/seed beans the end of next week. He asked me if I wanted to change my order any or if I was sticking with my earlier purchase. Told him I was sticking with 50/50 rotation. He said he had a half dozen customers that had ordered more corn to up their corn acres and now that the price for corn had came down 50 cents a bushel, they were going back to their original half corn and half beans. Think they are hearing a big switch in corn acres is going to ruin the price this coming year unless a weather problem exists. My seed dealer thinks there is a lot of decisions that will still be made at the last minute as to each individuals crop rotation. If there is going to be any replanting of corn, not much chance of getting corn the same as you planted originally...... | |
