Subject: Wireless: Signal Strength Vs bps

Ashburn, GA, (very close to Heaven!)
Would somebody more knowledgeable than I (plenty of you around, believe me....) explain the difference to me in wireless signal strength ("Good", "Low", "Very Low") and bps?

When I have "Good" and "54 mbps", of course performance peaks. Sometimes, I have "Good" and "11 mbps", and in between. I know there is a difference in wirelss signal strength and network speed but I would really like to know the relationship between the two.
