To answer your question KDD. The Outback has a contour feature that will follow the last pass made if set to that. Works quite well for irregular headlands. If you are using standard signal with S2 I think you will find too much drift at times and without a marker will you be able to monitor that? If you have the Baseline HD that Outback also offers I think you would be OK unless you have rough terrain. They have not offered terrain comensation yet and I believe it would be difficult over rough ground to mainain accuracy without it. I haven't ran in rough conditions so I can't report on that but have had considerable experience on relatively smooth terrain. Accuracy has been fairly good, with no drift noticeable.
