Subject: Desktop software

guys, need some advice on desktop software.

I am looking at updating my half as* attempt of data collection. Want to do a better job all around. Currently I have SiteMate to soil test and TracMate and SiteMate for the planter, never got it working last year, ran out of time... I have MapShots on my desktop, but was thinking about getting Farmworks 2X to keep all the software from one vendor. I was always a little nervous about using two vendors.

I run an IPAQ in the field to soil test, and will use it wit hTracMate.

Is this the best system, or should I be looking at something totaly different, maybe Insight or APEX.

Right now I just want to do a better job of data collecetion, but down the road, maybe autosteer. I run John deere tractors, Kinze planter and RoGator sprayer with a Raven 2

Thanks for your opinions.

p.s. I have never had anything wrong with MapShots, just want ot stay with as few of vendos as possible.
