I've yet to ever see evidence of any substantial yeild gain from a vac planter that isn't somehow sponsored by someone who sells them. If all you're planting is corn with the planter, precision fingers are the way to go. Rather than worry about the meters (ran perfect all year, have only seen one double so far) I worry more about where the seed hits the ground. Depth and soil firmness around the kernal will make more difference than the distance between them. Mind you, with my precision meters I can row the fields sideways.......
