| One more thing, the county ECY was set at the end of November, 2006. GRIP always "lags" behind one year. That works great for counties (such as South Dakota this year) that have a loss, because their ECY (expected county yield) does not drop until the following year.
However, when you have a good year, such as Mike did, the 06 yield will not be factored into the ECY until 08. I really recommend those who use GRIP find a knowledgeable agent, because there are many unique features of GRIP that most producers are unaware of.
