| Mike, I sent you email about your county. The numbers for GRIP used in your county are PLANTED YIELDS. Your ECY is still over 100% of your ten year NASS average. You have nothing to complain about. The ECY equals 102% of your ten year NASS average, and as long as it is over 100%, it is better than your APH (actual history) would be if you had yielded the same as the county, and were looking at RA/CRC.
Again, RMA did not miss, it. You are looking at harvested yields on the NASS website, but must calculate planted yields (which are always lower than harvested yields) to use GRIP yields.
In a big loss year, your county will probably produce more silage, causing more acres to be reported 0 bushels, and cause your loss to be inflated, and that will benefit any GRIP user.
Attached is the excel spreadsheet I sent you, with NASS harvested and planted yields.
