| Heavens forbid, do some farmers really trade the futures markets? Not talk'in spreads here or hedging.
I'm a "shoulda, coulda" guy now because I should have bought corn when it looked the worst about last Sept. Now there's a tip for you right there--but it ain't easy.
The biggest "sin" is holding on to losing position (HOPING ! ) and getting out too soon from winning position. Instead of cutting their loses and riding their winners most people do the opposite. Why? Because it's by far the easiest and most natural thing to do psychologically.
I'll bet several people won't respond to this because they don't want to admit trying to trade the markets. No doubt reminds them of a lot of losses too. Remember a broker saying he had over a hundred customers and EVERY ONE ended-up losing money.
I mention this subject of futures trading because we've never had a time when it was so tempting !
Hmmmm, lets see now, where'd I put those charts?
