Subject: RE: RTK correction signals from networks

Starkville, Mississippi
The RTK receivers we've been looking at are the Trimble R8's. It's my understaning that you you put in your SIM chip from your Cingular phone to establish the link. USM currently has a project where they are in the process of installing around 50 Trimble Net RS's across the state to measure and monitor subsidence. One of the benfits is they are trying to to get one of these VRS's up and going as well. Problem is Trimble is not very responsive when it comes to support questions. I'm planning on putting a radio on the one they are on putting on campus. We are just going to have to figure out the VRS thing ourselves looks like.
