Subject: Need advice on rusted dozer track chains (pics)

My next project is to free the chains on this 941. It's been sitting for a while so the chains have kinks in them where they have been sitting. It pulls very hard. The chains, idlers, rollers and sprockets are basically new, so it's kind of a shame it is in the condition it’s in, but it is what it is. The people that I bought the farm from left it here, so I figured that I would try to get it operational and make some use of it

I poured a dukes mixture of diesel and used motor oil on the tracks a little bit ago and ran it around a little. My plan is to continue to lube the tracks in such a fashion unless someone here talks me out of that and has a better idea.

TIA.
