Cowboy (or Sooner in sheep's clothing, we'll get into the sheep thing later), as a Nebraskan I am always wary of a possible Sooner.

Attached is a simple spreadsheet that you can place your yields in, then level of coverage, and marketed price, and "what if" different production and futures price scenarios. It will show why you may market with revenue insurance, and whether price goes up or down, with or without a crop, how events unfold.

Also, have you considered GRIP (if offered). If you would like, post your county, and I will post an example if it is offered.
