Ludington/Manistee MI area | If you are feeding poor quality grain in your ration stop if you can. I have a small farrow to finish operation and we where feeding grain dryer screening to our hogs. I've done it for years without one problem(better screenings) but since we switched to 09 screenings I have lost 3 feeders to rectal prolaspes plus one ofmy best sows aborted her litter and prolapsed her uterus(she is at the butcher now). Switched feed on one group of feeders and you can see the increase in growth rate. If it don't look good coming out combine it won't do well in the hog barn. |
