Cambridge, New York | Here in upsate New York we have a lot of coyotes. You can hear them every night, and if you go into my pastures at night, with a flashlight, you can see them, esepcially their eyes. I have 3 llamas that live with my herd of goats. I've seen them charge stray dogs that have wandered into my pasture, so I know what they'd do to coyotes. They charge at predators, and with predators being pretty intelligent, and llamas being pretty large, the coyotes don't stick around. I've never lost a goat to coyotes, and I thank my llamas for that. | |
