north central Oklahoma | Rob,
I guess I am asking the same question in some manner in thread above - http://talk.newagtalk.com/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=15531&mid=1056... titled "Crop contract vs, insurance guarantee" more or less. I think I am thinking along the same lines as you on this,'cept on corn not beans. The bulk of my guarantee is in the insurance, regardless of how I market my insured bushels. I already have $4 locked in on insurance, and I could spend more time surfing porn instead of trying to figure out the market to get that last dime or miss the while swing up and sell at $2.50, Just kidding 'bout the porn, but in all seriousness, trying to outguess the direction keeps me up at night, and I think I can sleep quite well with a $4 guarantee on my CRC.
I have visited with numerous dealers who have corn acres (in their opinion) incerasing anywhere from 2 million to 20 million acres. That's quite a spread from bull end to bear end now ain't it?
my 4 pesos (since tortilla prices have doubled so has the peso I suppose) | |
