Footrot vaccines are only effective if they contain the footrot variant that your flock has. Plus they can be a little on the rough side on the sheep and they have a pretty long withdrawal period.
Aside from not bringing footrot home in the first place, you can do like I do, I feed zinc sulfate, Zinpro, as a preventative. In my case, I have it included in my custom mineral mix but I guess you could mix it in your grain, etc.
Another footrot vaccine is Volar, and, I believe, there are companies that will culture your specific footrot strain (with the help of your vet) and produce a vaccine for you.
