Ryan, Yes they will be set in place without poles were I use them temperarally such as examples you gave. When I am going to use them long term
I put in some posts so they will not move. I chain the panels together so they don't get bumped out of place. My best guess on weight would be about 500 to 600 lbs for a 30 foot panel.
