Subject: RE: is stormor still around?

here what we think happened. over the last couple of years the bin side where the floor bolts to has been corroding. bad enough to get holes in that grain could spill out. so after a couple of years of stuffing rags into it to get by we decided to repair it. we had already bought 2 complete rings to replace since the floor bolted where 2 rigs joined. was looking like a major job when a millwright who was working on something else said he could fix it in a couple of days. he ended up plasma cutting the bin side out a couple of feet above and below the drying ring and slid a piece of the new ring to cover it and bolted the new piece to the top and bottom existing rings then bolted the floor to the new steel. looked really good to us but i think he used a plasma cutter to cut the bolt holes and the bolts ended up tearing out of the side. the floor fell down about 3/4 of the way around and is still hanging up on the one side. everything is bent up, drop doors ripped off, etc. maybe would not of had any problems if he would of put some washers on the bolts. lucky it happend with 3 batches to go and not 3 into the season. uncle was by the dryer when it let go and said it was so loud he just took off running.
