Grain like you describe can crust over pretty easy when trying to unload.  Wear a respirator any time you are in the bin too.  The molds that are in there will get you sick pretty quick, make you feel like you have the worse case of flu you ever had.

The top will probably have a crust so make sure no chunks go down to the unloading auger and choke thiings off.  We have used a scoop shovel and broke up as much of the crust as possible before trying to unload.  I like the idea  one other post said of using intermediate sumps first.
