My grandfather did that-selling about 5% on the 15th of ever month no matter what the price-and then selling 10-15% on those months that are typically higher. I can remember his exact forumula but he never farmed more than 700 acres and retired with a lot more money than I am likely to ever have.
His quote was pretty close to yours-something along the lines of I may never get rich but not going to go broke either.
Just my opinion ,of how it will go.
