| I just got mine started... This fall my Dad pulled in to local repair shop to get new headlight installed, shut it off installed new headlight, went to start, batteries dead. Ok...., put new batteries in, still wont start. Unhook trailer-drag truck home(15 miles). Finished harvest, forget about truck until last week. Dug it out of snowbank, start looking at truck, find one of the ground cables was left unhooked after putting new batteries in. Started right up. CHECK BATTERY CABLES.
You say compressor drive was out. The "bull gear"($$$) that drives the compressor, is the same gear that drives the fuel pump. Are you sure works??
Also- I chased a fuel problem on this truck all fall. I checked the fuel pump many times, to find it was pumping fuel. Finally drug it to Detroit shop, and $2,000 later, they put new fuel pump on- fixed problem.. | |
