Oswald No-Till Farm Cleghorn, IA | Now that reply made me laugh out loud. But since my wife attended that other school I have to not enjoy it too much.
I haven't gotten Elwynn completely figured out. I am seeing some waffling week to week. But, it is now in the El Nino is done side. If so, there should be a crop scare.
It seems to me that first level will be planting intentions. Then, the question will be if the planters get it done on time or not. I don't like January fog for early planting. Easter isn't early. Soil moisture mostly good which could mean a little extra spring moisture would yield planting delays.
No doubt it will be interesting. For the sake of my stomach lining, I am dribbling out some old corn sales and have a dusting of new corn sold from a farm that has to go direct to the elevator.
Personally, I think that we will make enough corn if given half a chance. My guess is that 08 could be the real 20 year drought... unless this year becomes a 1983 analog year.
