just a tish NE of central ND
As others have said, I believe Vitamin K is supposed to be given for poisions of such nature.Warfirin(spell)...... I believe that is the active ingredient that is in the poision. Our border collie ate two or three squares or for sure of that chunk style bait from TSC. Scarfed it down like it was hanburger........It scared us of what might happen. Of course , in the evenig on a saturday........ No vet for 60 miles that night....Well we kept watch and she seemed to act a bit like she had a stomach ace for a while and that was all she ever showed of ill results.
Danged dog CRAVES that bait for some reason. We had it behind a 80 gallon air compressor in the shopcorner and she reached back( underneath) in and dug it out with her paw....We didnt think she could get to it but we were wrong. She went back to lick up the floor of crumbs where she ate it and then licked her paws off that she dug the stuff out with.
On the other side of the shop we put it under a big heavy wooden drawer loaded with tools. She would scratch and dig at that drawer trying to get to the poision. We still use that spot for mouse bait and she still trys to get to it.Apparenly she is a slow learner.
Nutty dog!
