Eastern Iowa | Nobody ever seems to want to mention their expected fall harvest basis. To me the basis makes all the difference. Last I checked, my local Oct. basis was 38.5 cents under. 38.5 cents plus the carry says build a bin or rent storage. My question is will these same circumstances exist for more than just this year? I have always had a large negative basis at harvest that usually goes neutral at some point in the summer. I think the same pattern will continue only more extreme. | |
