| We did a little checking in to the Cargill bin program. My personal thought is if the grain normally goes to Cargill it might be ok, but if you have multiple buyers then locking into one is not normally a good idea.
When we checked it also only covered the cost of the steel, no concrete, wiring, or erection. When you start looking the cost of the steel is roughly 33 to 45% of the cost of a bin.
You are right about one thing none of the big companies give a rats behind if what they do is good for you, they are doing it because they are gaining something from it. The old saying of "follow the money" is alive and well.
Sorry Ray J. don't mean to step on your employer's toes and what your employer does is not any indication of the quality of some of the people they have working for them. I've just been told too many outright lies by people associated wtih Cargill, both in the past and as recently as 2 weeks ago.
