Scott City, KS | I would most definitely wait. The GS2 has great potential, but it isn't there yet. If you are wanting to collect data from the planter, I would stick with the GS1. You have several software alternatives with the GS1. Like Dutch said, APEX is a joke. AND (my personal opinion) I don't see any future with APEX as a crop record keeping solution. I'm not sure what JD is trying to accomplish with APEX (other than setting up and unloading data cards for the GS2), but for guys who are looking for a crop recording keeping solution...APEX is really an embarrassment to JD!
and FWIW, I'm a loyal JD guy.
