It Takes very little technology to simply increase the size of machinery. The 12 row is probably wasted technology compared to and older 6 row model. It does more because of it's size. In the future if we get to driverless combines run through gps and automatic unloading sysytems maybe then it will come into play. A 8010, or 9860 based on whatIhave seen is wasted compared to the cost. You have a machine that will do slightly more than twice the acres at 10 times the cost. Not figuring depreciation or the interest cost. you need to jump that up to 18 or 24 rows to get into the game. Thats where the technology might come into play.
