Well, I guess I shouldn't have said it will always be tall, but it's gonna be a pretty significant project.  There would be considerable interior work to do after you lowered the roof. 

I've looked at some FLD's which started out as integral sleeper, probably condos, and were converted to daycabs something like four or five years ago.  Owner said they looked at doing centuries to replace them, but the cost was too high now.  They were just using the sleepers for city trucks for now, and looking to buy daycabs.  With the way the local fleets are dropping, they may never get that far.
