Subject: Re: EZ-STEER vs AUTOPILOT...I've asked both AL & Trimble

Chebanse, IL.....

Ag Leader & Trimble for years why they don't make a "ring" that bolts (or clamps) to exhisting vehicle steering wheel or shaft so the rub-wheel assy can run on that ring which would conceivably be of smaller diameter & set slightly lower (= away from the driver) than the existing steering wheel rim. This would allow the driver to keep his hand on the wheel for full revolution turns without rub-wheel intereference if he desires & drive rub-wheel would never need to be pushed away.

I've asked dealers to ask, I've asked both AL & Trimble area reps. I've either gotten NO response or "we're selling them fine the way they are...." response.

Can anyone tell me why my universal quickly mountable/unmountable ring (you could economically buy multiple rings for many vehicles) wouldn't be a better idea?
