Southeast ND | If you are talking about generating a variable rate map to put into the Flexicontrol task controller (this is the .pre file) then SMS, Farmworks, SST have the capability to write the prescription file. If you want the coverage map (.log file) back out of the task controller then only SMS and SST has that capability. The SMS is somewhat crippled (not all information is brought in correctly: product names, gps offsets for split planter etc). I have written my own utility to take the coverage map (.log file) and convert it into a file that can be imported into any GIS program by a generic text file import. My utility utilizes all information available in the .log file.
CNH doesn't supply any software with the task controller but has a relabeled SMS package for sale. This package has the same problems with the .log files as SMS.
