A GPS receiver has enough signal drive to talk to two RS-232 ports. you need to make sure only the transmit and ground line from the GPS to the receive lines on the two monitors are connected. if the two transmit lines from the two monitors are connected in a Y back ot the GPS they will fight each other. this is not desirable, however it is not a big problem because they usually have nothing useful to say to the GPS receiver.
