Southeast SD | Was wondering what the grain tank capacity of a 1460 IH combine is. We just got it new this spring and just got it out yesterday on some corn to test it out. So far worked great. The one thing I couldn't find on it though was how big the tank was. Also would anyone know the empty weight of the whole machine roughly? We're going to be farming 250 acres about 120 miles away next year and are going to be building a trailer to haul it and needed a rough weight. Thanks in advance. I'll try and get some pictures hopefully later today.

Huntley Montana | I'm thinking about 160-70 bu. About 15000#. You can buy a older combine trailer cheaper than you can build 1. I sold a 3 axle jance (sp) last summer for $1500. I see them in the HPJ for $2-4000. They have seen a revival as sprayer trailers lately |

Eastern Ont | The owners manual puts the tanks at 180 bushels on the 1460, 145 on a 1440, 208 on a 1480

Southeast SD | Hey 2+2 love the chrome stack on your machine. Are you coming straight off the turbo on that? I was just up there checking oil yesterday and thought "this thing would look and sound great with a straight on her" haha. Might just have to do that to mine :) |
