Drumheller, Alberta | Prawns in a Brandy Cream Sauce
*1 Tbsp butter
*1 Tbsp minced garlic
*1/2 lb uncooked shrimp, de-veined
*1/4 C brandy
*1/2 C whipping cream
*1/4 C chopped fresh chives
Melt Butter and garlic and saute for one minute. Add shrimp and sprinkle lightly with sea salt. Sauté until 1/2 cooked (3 minutes) remove from heat, add Brandy and flambe. Return to heat when flames die down (1 minute).
Remove shrimp from pan and place in bowl. Add cream to pan and boil until it thickens (2 minutes). Return shrimp to pan. Add chives and stir for about 2 minutes.
Place shrimp on plates cover with cream sauce and serve.
