Drumheller, Alberta | The ultrasound tech found mine before I went in for emergency gall bladder surgery. The pain was mild at that point. Three months later I went in to the dr. because the pain had become severe. She gave me pain meds, & sent me to a specialist who inserted a j-stent, then because it hadn't moved - sent me for lithotripsy (ultrasound shockwaves) a month later. Two weeks later the j-stent was removed & I hadn't even felt the stone pass because it had passed in so many small pieces. The j-stent was very painful, but he wanted the stones to have a "chute" out of my kidney. Mine was a calcium stone with "stickers" that held it in place.
I feel for you. It's been 6 yrs since mine, but can "feel" the pain you're in.
Drink your liquids & relax in a nice warm tub as often as you can. This to shall pass! How are you doing?
