Carter Montana | That's exactly what WE need but its counterproductive to Trimbles goal of making money. How many would see the value in buying an ($11,000) Autopilot over a ($3,000) EZ-Steer. In Montana, precisely none..... My, somewhat frustrated, opinion is that this is the one glaring weakness in the Insight, especially given the premium price we all pay for Insight gear. Either the price of the AutoPilot needs to come down or the EZ-Steer interface is needed if the Insight is to remain competitive. I've said it before that, if not for it's yield monitor capability, the Insight would be toast. Not a good thing given the money I have into AL equipment.
Talking to a Trimble Regional sales rep. recently gives me no reason to believe a cut in price is coming anytime soon. He just couldn't get it through his head this was an issue, which is "unfortunate". | |
