NW Washington | I cook oatmeal in the microwave just about every morning. Add twice as much water as oats by volume, put in a big uncovered bowl that won't overflow and cook and then let sit for about ten minutes. Check the box for cooking times. Add raisins or whatever fruit, sugar to taste, milk and you are in business. I use the regular oats but the quick cooking kind can be used too. I add flax seed meal to mine too. | |
