Bill, JD's in-cab yield monitor requires speed from your cornerpost speedometer. When your tech unplugged that cable it no longer gets speed input, that's why it is not providing yield info. I'm certain JD's in-cab yield monitor can be configured to operate correctly with NO GPS signal (and NO beeping that says NO GPS). Many JD folks are using in-cab yield monitors without GPS or mapping. My suggestion would be to plug that speedometer cable back in then ask your JD dealer to assist you in configuring your yield monitor to operate without GPS. Not sure but yield monitor manual may have instructions on configuring for operation with NO GPS.

That may not reduce your level of frustration with "accuracy" of in-cab yield monitor but it will at least work without constantly beeping NO GPS. Accuracy of yield monitor is very dependent on mass flow sensor calibration and stability. Frustration with both of those may continue...
