There is a growing anti-vax movement led by such towering intellects as Jenny McCarthy. She claims that a vaccine is responsible for her child's autism, despite much scientific evidence to the contrary. Stand by for a resurgence of preventable (and nasty) childhood diseases that could have been avoided. Brilliant.

Anyhow, I think this has something to do with the recent claim that dozens of children have died after receiving a flu shot. Of course, they may also have died after watching Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs -- but let's not give Dr. McCarthy something else to fret about.

People in high-risk groups are far more likely to die of the disease than from the vaccine.
