Yes it does. You will need R-modems to run machine-sync. The grain cart tractor must be a JD tractor due to speed control requirements. You do not need a connection to the ODB port. That is however beneficial when you want to log extra data as it gives you access to the engine canbus. So ODB is not required for machine sync, but more data into myjohndeere.com.
