| Working on this 1790 still. As a refresher this is an '06 1790 that has been run by the original brown box and I was looking for more in-depth seed monitoring. What I failed to mention on the first post and probably should have is that this is a hydraulic drive planter.
Since I already have ag leader (IC 1200) for the tractor I am pursuing the ag leader route. I acquired an STMM module and cable 4002725-6 (see pic) and already had the other cabling on hand that I needed. It was my assumption that when I plugged in the rectangle ends of the 4002725-6 and plugged the original planter harness back into that black box that the brown box greenstar controller would still be able to see and control the planter (Seedstar XP gray box). However it is now not seeing anything of the planter. Only comes up with a "check wiring" code and has nothing that was previously programmed in it regarding a planter. The ag leader looks to be seeing everything just fine. (Haven't had a chance to run it yet.)
Was I wrong in assuming that the brown box would still be able to see and control the planter? Is the 4002725-6 cable faulty (bought it used)? Am I going to have to get a control module for the hydraulic drives to run it through the ag leader?
