Hagen Brothers farms,Goodrich ND
The 63-65-67 88 series had some nice improvements over the 30 series, like the electric shift TA and hydraulic trans brake. Still they did not take well to being used as a heavy tillage tractor. They still use a weaker 66 type bull gear rear end and not terribly strong transfer case and front axle. The idea was kind of like the 4000 JD, a lightweight, high horsepower tractor for pto and high speed row crop work, instead of big implement, heavy tillage grunt work.
