I had the same issue. What I did was just drilled the head of the screw off. It was easy to do because tha Philips head cantered the drill. You had to be careful with the pressure on the drill, so not to drill through the lens itself. Once the head of the screw was removed by drilling, the lense came off. Once the lense was off, I heated the remaining screw with a small flame on my torch. This made the plastic soft around the knurled brass insert and I simply pulled it out. Once out I put the screw in the vise and applied a bit of heat to the brass insert. I used a pair of vise grips or plier, I just forget now , and turned the insert off the screw. When it was off I used a new screw with a bit of never seize on it and turned it into the brass insert. I then epoxied the brass insert back into the plastic. Don’t get carried away with the amount of epoxy you use. Because you have never seize on the screw and inside the insert, you do not have to worry about epoxying the screw into the brass insert. When the epoxy dries, remove the screw a put your lens on. You just saved yourself a bit of money. I have been detailed here, but I did all 4 lens in no time at all. By the way, when putting the new screws in, be liberal with the never seize. You will never have the problem again.
